Panch Pokhari Trek

If you want an ultimate trekking experience in an off-the-beaten path through untouched wilderness and unspoilt settlements in the mountain of Nepal, Panch Pokhari Trek is just an excellent option. While you hop from tea-house to tea-house in other popular trekking routes, you mostly move from one camp in complete wilderness set in spectacular location to the other during this trek. While you often jostle with the crowd of other trekkers in popular routes during the peak season, you are all with yourself in this route, surrounded by soothing, enchanting, peaceful wilderness.

In the lower elevations of the trail, people belonging to Tamangs, Newars, Sherpas, Brahmins, Gurungs, and Chhetris inhabit the villages, but the upper regions are totally devoid of human settlements. This makes organized trek a necessity in the region, but a walk through pristine forests, numerous waterfalls, deep ravines, and heart-melting sceneries of Rolwaling Range along with Jugal Himal build a unique experience. In fact you will get the real, authentic meaning and experience of trekking if you choose this trip because the other popular trekking routes are most likely to be quite busy during the trekking season.

The trek starts in Chautara, the district headquarter of Sindhupalchok. It takes six days of normal walk through villages with typical Nepalese life along with lush forests with a wide variety of vegetation to reach Panch Pokhari. As the return trip takes place through a different route, you get to explore different regions throughout your entire trekking.
